The District Sports Council Club Accreditation Scheme is based on the requirements of the national scheme "Sport England Clubmark " which is aimed at ensuring the National Governing Body sports clubs with junior/youth sections are working towards provision of 'quality experience in a safe and friendly environment'.

The DSC scheme also allows sports clubs whose Governing Body have not yet bought into "Sport England Clubmark " the opportunity to work towards the same criteria.  Each DSC club progresses through a three stage breakdown of scheme criteria in the following focus areas:

  • Child Protection


  • Is your club well managed?
  • Is your club child friendly?
  • Are you looking towards a National Governing Body or Local District Sports Council Accreditation?
  • Are you accessing subsidised training courses?
  • Are you successful with funding applications?
